Authorized Entities: Development and Distribution of Specialized Formats

Authorized entities may access NIMAS filesets, convert them to specialized formats, and distribute them to qualified students with print disabilities after registering with the NIMAC as accessible media producers (AMPs) and signing a Limitation-of-Use Agreement (LUA) provided by the NIMAC.

Conversion Services

This page lists commercial companies that provide a wide range of conversion services (i.e., transformation from print to digital, or transformation from one digital medium to another, etc.). These services are available to curriculum materials publishers and to state and local education agencies, usually on a work-for-hire basis. In addition to the preparation, structuring, editing, and validation of digital source files, a number of these companies also indicate that they are capable of creating student-ready versions.
