Wisconsin is an open territory state with no centralized textbook acquisition. The selection and purchase of textbooks and instructional materials is a local district activity.

Wisconsin Accessible Media Productions (WAMP) sub-site contains information and resources regarding alternate-format instructional materials and NIMAS, including a FAQ page, a sequential list of procedural steps for obtaining accessible format materials, and other resources.
State Definition of Timely Manner for the Delivery of AIM to Students
Wicsonsin stipulates that "all students eligible for materials in an alternative format will receive them at the same time as their non-print disabled peers. In such cases of highly technical and/or a high number of tactile graphics, portions of the book will be produced in accordance with the timely manner definition. Timely manner production coincides with timely submission of requests" (
