Instructional Materials Acquisition (adoption or open territory)
Arizona is an open territory state with no centralized textbook acquisition. The selection and purchase of textbooks and instructional materials is a local district activity.
SEA Policies and Practices
Arizona's public education agencies (PEAs) determine whether or not they will use NIMAC coordination in order to provide AIM in a timely manner. PEAs who opt in must include NIMAS fileset requirements in their instructional materials purchase orders and those who opt out must find NIMAS source files independently. PEAs who opt in choose their own AMPs and request SEA coordination of files from NIMAC to AMP.
NIMAC Authorized User(s)
The Arizona Department of Education, Exceptional Student Services (ADE/ESS) is the state's only AU.
