AIM Center Advisory Committee
The purpose of the AIM Center Advisory Committee will be to maintain, advance, and support the adoption of the NIMAS at the state and district levels. These activities are designed to facilitate the timely provision of accessible versions of core print instructional materials to qualifying students. Membership includes state NIMAS leaders/coordinators; state assistive technology (AT) agencies staff; NIMAS Technical Assistance Center staff; the National Instructional Materials Access Center (NIMAC) staff; curriculum publishers; and experts in the production of Braille, audio, e-text, and large print products as required. Committee members will be appointed by the AIM Center to a two-year renewable term and will be vetted by OSEP. Subsequent member nominations will be submitted to the AIM Center and to the Committee.
Initial appointments were made in the Fall of 2009. Governance procedures and membership are publicized here on the National Center on AIM web site, and meetings remain open to the public.

AIM Center Technical Assistance
Three types of technical assistance (TA) are available from the AIM Center: Proactive, Responsive, and Targeted. Proactive TA provides products and services that are scalable and useful to a broad range of stakeholders. Responsive TA directly addresses direct requests for assistance from stakeholders. Targeted TA involves working closely with State Education Agencies (SEAs) to assist with developing, improving and/or sustaining an effective, efficient system for the provision of specialized formats of print-based instructional materials to students with disabilities.
